Quarter Life Wish

I'm 25 and striving to dent positivity in this nation's history. The vision strikes me as overwhelming as, although in total admiration for noble leaders in the persons of Dr. T and Sir Pagsi - both teachers in the genuine sense, even they have been forced to watch decades drag potentials down the streets of smog. What great power do I have then when geniuses I hold with high regard still struggle to get an A in Mr. Progreso's class. This is not to say we're a hapless bunch. Insecure may be, from bloody conquests through which the resilience of the land of 4'11s was proved. Or from speaking English with a distinctly Filipino accent despite the renowned existence of distinctly Australian, British, Austrian, Irish, and what not accent. Or from the branding of our country as third world by countries that bombed our national treasure. We very well may be insecure, but definitely not hapless. Team Manila has effectively printed national pride on cotton shirts. And we wear them proud in carnation pink. Batanes and Palawan speak eloquently of their pristine beauty. Intramuros and Cubao has renewed art in their saturated walls and shoe expos. And our youth... the Filipino youth sparks hope for change.

@62 has been around since 2004, but for the 2010 National Elections, @62 will shout progress a whole lot louder than the usual.

Today, 2008. We begin with the preparations. We will gradually help our friends understand the importance of the ELECTORATE. By 2010, we'll get our educated, defensible vote.

What's admirable about Dr. T and Sir Pagsi is their wisdom to fight through blood, sweat, tears, and time. Decades of potentials dragged down the streets of smog. But in their vision, decades were well-spent inspiring you and me to be better citizens.
